It works, but the sound of the software instruments triggered by the midi signal cuts out after a short while, 30s or so or possibly exactly 32 midi events. I just didn't expect to have to do stuff like this, because I've produced music for years, and never had such a hassle. GarageBand software instruments cut out after a short while but midi keeps recordings Im trying to use an electronic drum kit (Donner DED-200) with GarageBand. I'm going to read the articles now, and see if they help. I want to buy Symphobia or Vienna Symphonic, but I'm figuring there's no point in wasting my money if things are already coming to a stand-still. Yeah I have plug-ins such as Sugarbytes Wow, Fabfilter, NI Massive, Alicia's Keys, Albino 3 etc, because there's no way in the world I just want to use Logic's own instruments/fx. I didn't have any problems with any type of plug-ins with my PC. ![]() I had a PC Laptop with half the spec my mac is, and even when my hard disk space was nearly full, it still took quite a bit of audio for it to glitch, but it never just stopped like my mac does. (could the problems be to do with not having that update?). I did download it from the Mac store, so now I'm stuck and don't know what to do. I've tried downloading it, and installing it, but it a message comes up and says I have to download it from the Mac store. I have 9.1.6, but I've seen that 9.1.8 is available. Click Metronome button or press K and click Record button or press R. Press Command-K to reveal the on-screen musical keyboard. Click Library button or press Y and select a patch from the Garageband’s sound library at the browser on the left. I've noticed that there is an update for Logic. Click Add Track button and choose Software Instruments. My machine's spec is a 2.5 GHz Processor, and 4GB 1333 MHz DDR3. ![]()
